GroundBreak Welcomes Jeff Aguy to Expanded Project Team

by | Apr 1, 2024

In March, the GroundBreak Coalition announced its inaugural Executive Council and an enhanced project team. This month, we are excited to welcome the project team’s newest member, Jeff Aguy, who will be co-leading the launch of Implementation Teams focused on ensuring outcomes for GroundBreak’s homeownership, entrepreneurship, and commercial development strategies, and continuing work on rental housing. Jeff will work closely with stakeholders across the coalition to ensure that GroundBreak’s strategies are driving progress toward closing racial wealth gaps and ensuring that everyone in our region has the opportunity to thrive. Jeff will partner in this work with Marcus Owens who joined the coalition in February.

Jeff is recognized for his compelling approach to fostering private-public partnerships to achieve ambitious economic outcomes. He manages his family’s portfolio of companies, where he leads as CEO for 2043 Corp., an economic development strategic advisory leading regional economic growth at the crossroads of innovation, infrastructure, and workforce. In the last five years, his companies have worked with senior executives in all 50 states and two U.S. territories, generating over $5 billion in annual economic impact.

A firm believer in civic engagement and community, Jeff previously served as Vice President and Economic Development Chair for the Minneapolis NAACP. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Saint Paul Area Chamber of Commerce and is Co-Chair for the New Bridge Fellowship Alumni Council of Atlantik-Brücke, the leading private non-profit association promoting German-American understanding and Atlanticism.
