The GroundBreak Coalition proudly announces that Adair Mosley will serve as our first Chief Executive Officer, beginning September 15. This is a pivotal moment in our journey as we begin to scale equitable financial systems change across the region.

We are thrilled to see him step into the role of CEO and confident in the transformation he will drive in our region and beyond.”
As a nationally respected leader with deep roots in North Minneapolis, Mosley brings decades of cause-driven leadership, community-building experience and a commitment to inclusive economic development. He has been instrumental to GroundBreak since its inception, serving on the organization’s founding board of directors and helping build the infrastructure necessary to carry us into our next era.
“GroundBreak represents one of the most powerful cross-sector commitments to wealth-building in our region’s history,” said Mosley. “I am humbled to lead this next chapter. I honor the vision and labor of the founders and coalition members who built this movement. Together, we will expand ownership, accelerate access to capital, spur regional economic growth, and shift systems so that everyone, especially Black communities and all those historically excluded, can thrive.”
With Mosley at the helm, this coalition will:
- Accelerate the pace of capital deployment and systems change.
- Expand our funders, financial institutions and grassroots partners.
- Deepen community-driven strategies for long-term transformation.
- Elevate accountability to the communities most impacted by systemic disinvestment
- Grow a small but powerful staff team to steward our impact.
In collaboration with our 40 coalition partners, Mosley’s leadership will shape how capital flows locally and regionally — with an emphasis on credibility, transparency and community priorities.
